Relays, High Jump Compete in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa – Northwestern sent its athletes to the Blue Oval at Drake University for the 115^th Drake Relays.

The Raiders started competition on Thursday, opening with the 4x800m relay on Thursday. With a time of 9:34.28, the team of Macy Schroeder, Emily DeGroot, Allie Hough, and Brielle Engelmann marked its best time of the season.

Jacie Vander Waal reached her opening mark of 1.61m to place 15^th, while the 4x100m team of Lauren Waypa, Emma Blum, Erin Heusinkveld, and Tierney Huss improved to 48.45 and the 4x400m team of Blum, Schroeder, Jordan Shull, and Engelmann hit its top time of the year at 4:01.55.
