Northwestern Wins Two Events in Annual Home Meet

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern was among 11 schools competing under sunny skies at De Valois Stadium over the last two days, giving a strong showing in its annual home meet.

Braden Kalvelage hit the NAIA auto mark, winning the long jump with a leap of 7.51m in his first outdoor jump this season. Also winning an event was Mike Rodriguez, who cruised past the field in the 200m with a 22.04 finish, marking a personal best.

Elijah Weaver, in third place in the 110m Hurdles, hit his career best with a time of 15.16, while Drew Geetings also placed third in the high jump and javelin, setting a PR in javelin.

In addition to those previously named, top-three placers included Ben VanDeBerg (5K), the 4x800m team, and the 4x400m team.
