The second inning saw Briar Cliff take control of the game, concluding the inning with a 4-0 lead over the Raiders.

In the fourth inning, the Chargers expanded their lead with three more runs. After putting runners at the corners with no outs, Briar Cliff put a run across to extend their lead to 6-0. An RBI double added two more to the lead, keeping their foot on the pedal.

After the Chargers ballooned the lead to 10 in the fifth, strong pitching and defense kept the Raiders off the board for the game one win.

How It Happened
The Raiders took an early lead with Luke Wroblewski starting the momentum by singling to center field, then stealing second. Grant Guidry followed with a key RBI single to bring Wroblewski home, putting the Raiders on the scoreboard first.

During the second inning, the home squad extended their lead to 2-0. Drew Dykstra walked and advanced to third on a single by Brody Ayers. Dykstra then scored on a wild pitch, giving Northwestern a two-run advantage. The Chargers were unable to score in their half of the inning, keeping the Raiders in control.

Wroblewski hit a solo home run with one away in the fifth, making the score 3-1 before game shifted in the sixth. The Chargers rallied with a six-run surge, taking the lead 7-3 on two hits and an error.

Despite the Raiders' efforts to regain control, the Chargers' offense proved too strong. Northwestern managed to record three hits in the ninth inning but couldn't convert them into runs, concluding the game with an 8-3 result in favor of the Chargers.
