CAMDENTON, MO – The Northwestern College men's golf team secured a solid fourth-place finish in a competitive field of 18 teams at the Verhille Invitational hosted at the Old Kinderhook Golf Resort.
Leading the way for Northwestern were
Axton Miller and
Ray Greller, who both finished with impressive tournament totals of 150 (+8). Miller carded rounds of 74 and 76, while Greller posted a strong opening round of 73 followed by a 77 on day two.
Senior
Jackson Laven followed closely behind with a total score of 153 (+11), shooting a 77 on the first day and improving to a 76 on the second. Freshman
Jacob Medina rounded out the Raiders' top four with scores of 77 and 78 for a tournament total of 155 (+13).
William Woods placed first in the event, finishing +27 as a group. Mount Mercy's Theo Baker finished first individually, ending the two-day event with a final score of 141 (-1).
