Orange City, IA - Northwestern hosted the #21 ranked Concordia Bulldogs for their home opener but would suffer two tough losses, 15-7 and 2-1.

Pitching Decisions
Win: M. Sweeton (2-1)

Concordia would push multiple runs across in each inning taking a 12 run lead in the fourth. In the bottom half of the fourth inning, the Red Raiders mounted a significant rally, scoring five runs to close the gap against the Bulldogs. The sixth inning saw the Raiders continue to push, adding two more runs to their tally.
Grant Guidry managed a bases-loaded walk, bringing in one run. A subsequent wild pitch allowed another run to score, tightening the score to 13-7. Despite the efforts, the Bulldogs added two more insurance runs in the seventh inning, ending the game with a final score of 15-7 in favor of the visitors.

Concordia took the lead in the second inning, scoring one run on two hits, with a double and a single. The Raiders were unable to respond in the bottom of the inning, going three up, three down. In the fifth inning, Northwestern tied the game at 1-1 with a
Luke Wroblewski single, who advanced on a single, then scored on a
Devin Dirkx RBI single. This was the only run for Northwestern, despite a total of six hits. Concordia regained the lead in the seventh inning with a single into center field. Despite the Raiders' pitching changes and strategic substitutions, they were unable to rally in the final innings, leaving the game with a total of seven runners left on base.
Game Notes:
- Luke Wroblewski notched 3 hits in his four at bats but was only able to score once
- Devin Dirkx would pitch five innings allowing just one run on five hits
- Northwestern was able to notch 6 total hits but left 7 runners stranded and struck out 9 times
