Orange City, IA - After a close varsity loss the night before, Northwestern uses the Raider duals for young and upcoming wrestlers to gain experience against multiple GPAC opponents.
Morningside, Waldorf, and Briar Cliff all made their way to Orange City to battle it out in the Raider Duals in the Bultman Center. The Raiders would take on these three opponents in that order as the wrestlers who didn't compete the night before in the dual against Morningside would earn matches throughout the day.
Carter Peterson would have a big day on the mat as he'd be the lone wrestler to wrestle three times and pick up three wins, all of which were wins by fall. Northwestern would pick up four other pins on the day as well including
Rocco Sauer who put back to mat in 1:28.
Zach Mayo,
Braeden Campbell, and
Rocco Sauer would all pick up at least two wins on the day.
Dual Notes
- Carter Peterson would earn a fall victory in a decisive 23 seconds
- Raiders would go 12-6 in total on the day
- 11 of the 12 wins would be bonus point wins
Up Next: Raiders are on the road to Forest City, IA to take on Waldorf on Wednesday, February 5th at 6:00 PM.
