Northwestern Claims Smash Bros Trophy at GPAC Tournament

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – In the first-of-its-kind GPAC Esports Championships, the Red Raider Super Smash Bros team took home first place on Saturday.

The Raiders swept Hastings twice and took down Waldorf in three games on Friday to advance to the second day with a 3-0 record. After another 2-0 win over Hastings in the semifinals, the Raiders advanced to the championship to play Waldorf, winning 3-1.

Northwestern closes the Smash season with an 11-2 overall record and ends on a five-game winning streak.
