American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's basketball student-athlete Manny Hammonds and volleyball student-athlete Maddy Sampson as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of November 3rd.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Manny Hammonds, Men's Basketball

Hammonds (Jr., Des Moines, Iowa) was a well-oiled shooting machine over the course of three wins last week at 65.6%.
The junior stepped up big against Central and Clarke (IA), shooting 81.8% in both games for 21 and 23 points respectively.
Hammonds was 9-13 from beyond the arc and added six rebounds on the week.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Maddy Sampson, Volleyball

Sampson (So., Worthington, Minn.) has been the definition of consistency for the Raiders as last week she helped claim the GPAC season title.
The sophomore posted six kills in each match and has had six or more in every match since the beginning of October.
Sampson hit .456 with just one error while also adding three blocks in six sets.
