Van Kalsbeek Garners NAIA Weekly Honor for Second Time This Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern forward Jesse Van Kalsbeek has been selected as the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week, the national office announced this morning.

Van Kalsbeek scored 42.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for Northwestern. The sophomore forward had double-doubles in both outings, posting 47 points and 14 rebounds in Tuesday's win over William Penn, and contributing 38 points and 15 boards in Saturday's road loss at Doane.

He currently leads the NAIA in points per game (34.3) and is fifth in the country in rebounds per game (13.0).

It is the second time in three weeks that Van Kalsbeek has been named the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week.

The Raiders continue conference play on Wednesday, facing Dordt on the road at 7:45 p.m.
