Van Kalsbeek Earns Third GPAC Honor in Three Weeks

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern forward Jesse Van Kalsbeek has been selected as the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports. It is the third time in as many weeks that Van Kalsbeek has been named the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Van Kalsbeek scored 42.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for Northwestern. The sophomore forward had double-doubles in both outings, posting 47 points and 14 rebounds in Tuesday's win over William Penn, and contributing 38 points and 15 boards in Saturday's road loss at Doane.

He currently leads the NAIA in points per game (34.3) and is fifth in the country in rebounds per game (13.0).

The Raiders continue conference play on Wednesday, facing Dordt on the road at 7:45 p.m.
