Jesse Van Kalsbeek and volleyball student-athlete
Maddy Sampson as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of November 17th.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Men's Basketball
- Van Kalsbeek (So., Orange City, Iowa) averaged a 42.5 point and 14.5 rebound double-double over the course of the week.
- The sophomore scored 47 points on Tuesday against William Penn, the sixth most by a Raider in a single game.
- Van Kalsbeek shot 32-55 on the week and added 10 assists alongside four steals.
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Maddy Sampson, Volleyball
- Sampson (So., Worthington, Minn.) was dominant in the GPAC tournament posting 23 kills on .584 hitting and six blocks over the last two games.
- The sophomore posted a career and team high 14 kills with no errors against Dakota Wesleyan in the semifinal match while adding three blocks.
- Sampson was quieter on the offensive front in the championship over Concordia with nine kills, but it included the match-winner in set four.
