Winterfeld Named GPAC Attacker of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern outside hitter Stella Winterfeld has been selected as the GPAC Attacker of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports. It is the third time this season that she has earned a GPAC weekly honor.

"It was a great week for our team last week to get another two conference wins," noted head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. "Stella had two great matches in all the phases of the game. This is a well-deserved honor after a great week of games."

Winterfeld led the Raiders to a pair of GPAC sweeps last week, posting 33 total kills for 5.50 per set. She had a career night on Friday, posting 21 kills, 10 digs, and a career-high six blocks on a .329 hitting percentage at Dakota Wesleyan. Winterfeld had two double-doubles on the week in kills and digs.

The Raiders continue the final stretch of the regular season this week, hosting Briar Cliff on Wednesday and traveling to Morningside on Saturday.
