Football Lands Back in Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern football is back in the NAIA Top 25, presented by Netting Professionals, coming in at No. 24.

The Raiders took down No. 4-ranked Morningside 14-13 on Saturday, as Kylar Fritz blocked the potential game-tying PAT with under five minutes left to play. Jordan Carter had two interceptions, including a 53-yard pick-six to put Northwestern on the scoreboard. Later in the contest, Colby Duncan found Tanner Schouten for a 73-yard catch-and-run to put the Raiders in front, 14-7.

Friends (Kan.) and Montana Tech moved into the top five, tying for No. 4. Grand View (Iowa), Keiser (Fla.), and Benedictine (Kan.) hold the top three spots.

Northwestern is back in the rankings after two weeks of receiving votes. Four GPAC teams rank in the top 25 in Northwestern, Concordia, Dordt, and Morningside.

The Raiders are on a bye this week before traveling to Midland next Saturday.
