American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named football student-athlete Kylar Fritz and volleyball student-athlete Liv Reitsma as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of October 20th.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kylar Fritz, Football

Fritz (Jr., Sioux Center, Iowa) was a defensive star on Saturday logging eight total tackles, two pass break-ups, an interception, and a game-winning PAT block.
The junior played well in the secondary as the Raiders upset the #4 ranked Morningside Mustangs 14-13, thanks to Fritz's block.
Fritz and the defense held an offense averaging 391 passing yards and .6 interceptions per game to 219 passing yards and three interceptions.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Liv Reitsma, Volleyball

Reitsma (Sr., Papillion, Neb.) is an unsung hero at setter but led the team with 44 assists last week, including their third straight ranked victory on the road.
The senior tallied 28 assists in Thursday's 3-2 win over #15 Viterbo, just one night after a 16 assist performance in the 3-0 win against Mount Marty.
Reitsma and the Raiders stand undefeated in conference play with 42 straight GPAC wins, including postseason.
