Raider Men Crown Three Champions at Mount Marty Invite

YANKTON, S.D. – Braden Kalvelage, Carson Van Sickle, and Drew Geetings each took first place in their respective events as the Red Raider men had a successful day inside Ruth Donahoe Fieldhouse.

Kalvelage secured his 14^th career win in the long jump, continuing his dominant stretch in the event. Also, in the 800m, Carson Van Sickle won again after taking first at the Dordt Open a week ago, bettering his time by six hundredths. Drew Geetings, in the high jump, won the indoor event for the first time in his career, his second overall win after taking a win in the 2024 Sioux City Relays.

Northwestern put up 16 PRs on the day, put 25 individuals in the top-10, and saw the 4x400m team of Gage Plagge, Carson Van Sickle, Elias Jensen, and Payton Van Sickle take third. Also with podium finishes were Ben Thelander (Heptathlon), Braden Kalvelage (200m), and Mike Rodriguez (Long Jump).
