Silvis, Ill. – In a week that saw Northwestern move up in the national rankings to 23
rd, the Raiders secured a fifth-place finish at the NAIA National Fall Preview. The team finished with 32 strokes over par behind Hastings, UNOH, Marian, and Mt. Mercy.
Jackson Laven was the only Raider to finish in the top 10, finishing with a score of 146 (+4).
After back to back outings leading the Raiders,
Axton Miller posted a 13
th place finish with a cumulative score of 148 (+6). Miller has been able to string together a successful stretch of outings after a slow start in his first event. His consistency has helped Northwestern continue to find success during the fall. Other notable outings for the Raiders came in the form of Ray Grellar shooting 150 (+8) and
Evan Smith shooting 156 (+14).
Jacob Medina finished with a final score of 163 (+21).
The winner of the event was Mt. Mercy's Theo Baker with a score of 136 (-6). Mt. Mercy would end up taking first place as a team, finishing +14 at the end of day two.
