How It Happened

It was another fast start for the visiting Raiders in set two, opening up a 15-5 lead and grabbing momentum early. Zavyr Metzger put together an impressive run in the set, scoring on three consecutive plays with two kills and a block on the way to another 25-14 win.

Dakota Wesleyan attempted to extend the match in the third, going ahead 4-1 to hold an early advantage. Northwestern then responded to open up a 13-7 lead capped by 5-0 run and back-to-back aces from Liv Reitsma. The Tigers continued to battle, however, coming within a point at 18-17.
