Douma Lands GPAC Attacker of the Week Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern senior outside hitter Jazlin Douma has been selected as the GPAC Attacker of the Week, the conference office announced this morning.

Northwestern went 2-0 last week with two sweeps against conference foes Morningside and Dordt. Douma led the Raiders in kills on the week, collecting 33 kills for a 5.50 kills per set average and a .333 hitting percentage. She also recorded two double-doubles as she had 21 digs on the week. Additionally, Douma tallied six blocks and a service ace.

"Our team had a good week with two important conference road wins," head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch stated. "Jazlin scored in a variety of ways and hit at a great efficiency."

Douma leads the GPAC at 3.91 kills per set and is fifth in total kills (168). The All-American has 1,071 kills in a Red Raider uniform, sitting just outside the top 10 in program history.

The top-ranked Raiders are back in action on Saturday, heading to Mitchell, South Dakota to play the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers at 3:00 p.m.
