Medina Opens Season with 1st Place Finish. Raiders Place 4th at UC Ferguson Classic

Oklahoma City, OK. – Northwestern finished in 4^th place among 13 teams to open the spring at the UC Ferguson Classic, hosted by Oklahoma City University. Two Raiders finished in the top five including a first-place finish by newcomer Jacob Medina, who finished with a final total of 199 (-14). Fellow Freshman Evan Smith began his Raider career with a fifth-place finish, totaling a three-round score of 207 (-6).
Through the first two rounds, the Raiders shot 726 (+16) as a team. Smith led the group finishing even in the first round and 4 under in the second. Returner Jack Laven finished the first day with a total score of 140 (-2). Rounding out the Red Raider team were JT Klinghagen, Axton Miller, and Qwenton Caldwell.
On the final day in Oklahoma City, Northwestern combined for a score of 368 (+7) for a fourth-place finish.
Drew Van Roekel competed as an individual along with Medina.
