How It Happened
RBI doubles were the catalyst in a 2-1 win over Morningside, as Northwestern advanced in the winner's bracket of the GPAC tournament.

Morningside struck in the opening frame, scoring with two doubles in three at-bats to take an early lead.

The Raiders responded in the top of the second, as Devin Dirkx reached on an error and came around to score on a two-out RBI double to the gap by Ranier Castillo, tying the game.

Northwestern had activity on the bases in the third, as Luke Wroblewski was hit by a pitch, stole a base, and crossed home plate on an RBI double from Sam Stanford, also coming with two away.

Morningside put their leadoff hitter on in the bottom of the seventh, but back-to-back groundouts and a strikeout thrown by Drew Dykstra ended the game and helped the Raiders move to 1-0 in postseason play.
