Raiders Shut Out Graceland in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. – In a single game on Tuesday, the Red Raider softball team completed a shutout, winning 6-0 over Graceland (Iowa).

How It Happened
Kameryn Etherington and Kate Kralik combined for a shutout as Northwestern defeated Graceland (Iowa) 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Raiders scored their first run in the third when Randi Childress singled to drive in two runs on the play. In the following at-bat, Jori Hajek had a base hit to left that allowed Childress to come home from second and make the score 3-0. Hajek then scored from second on an error in the next plate appearance.

Gwen Mikkelsen hit her second home run of the season in the sixth inning, a two-run shot to bring Northwestern's run total to six and add insurance runs to an already impressive outing.
