Northwestern Sent Home in NAIA Second Round

MARION, Ind. – Following an exciting win in the First Round of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship, the Red Raiders ran into the No. 1-seeded Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats, who showed their worth as a top-five team in the country.

Northwestern battled with the host team in the first quarter, playing tough defense and getting timely baskets to remain within a 14-10 deficit through the first 10 minutes. Hali Anderson knocked down a three with a minute to go to cut the deficit to four with a minute to go before the quarter break.
