Northwestern Opens Final Site with Four-Set Win

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Top-seeded Northwestern withstood an early test from William Carey (Miss.), coming back from a one-set deficit to win the opening match of the NAIA Final Site.

"From the second set on our serving and blocking both picked up," head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch noted. "I thought our backcourt defense was really good as well. We'll put a good game plan together for Montana Western, practice well tomorrow, and look forward to competing again for the second pool play match."

NWC 3, WCU 1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-20)
