Northwestern Hits Triple Digits in Sunshine State Victory

Lake Wales, FL - Northwestern secured a 103-88 victory over Warner on Tuesday to kick off their Florida trip. This marks the fifth time this season that the Raiders have scored over 100 points, highlighting their offensive prowess under Coach Kris Korver's leadership.

The Red Raiders led the Royals 52-33 at the end of the first half, capitalizing on a strong offensive performance. The team made 19 of 32 baskets, including six 3-pointers, and converted eight of nine free throws. Northwestern was active defensively, recording six steals and forcing nine turnovers, contributing to their largest lead of the half at 21 points. Warner struggled to keep pace, making 14 of 29 shots and only three of 13 from beyond the arc.

The second half saw a strong offensive performance from both teams. The Raiders capitalizing on Zach LaFave's free throws and Alex Van Kalsbeek's dunk, extended their advantage to 60-33 at one point. Warner struggled but managed to close the gap slightly with contributions from Joshua Glesil and Logan West. Jamal Norris provided a scoring spark for the Royals with multiple 3-pointers, but Northwestern maintained their lead, highlighted by Jesse Van Kalsbeek's consistent scoring. Despite a late push from Warner, Raiders earn a 103-88 victory.

Alex Van Kalsbeek led the team with 29 points, hitting all three of his 3-point attempts and going 6-for-6 at the free-throw line.
