Schany & Van Kalsbeek earn the weekly Raider awards for their performances

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named women's basketball student-athlete Molly Schany and men's basketball student-athlete Jesse Van Kalsbeek as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of December 16.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Men's Basketball

Van Kalsbeek (Fr., Orange City, Iowa) had a dominant week across the box score, averaging 19.0 points and 18.0 rebounds in two wins.
In Wednesday's top-15 win at Morningside, he grabbed 20 rebounds, Northwestern's most since 2006.
He also led the way in scoring in a home win over Doane with 23 points, picking up 16 rebounds as well.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Molly Schany, Women's Basketball

Schany (Sr., Emmetsburg, Iowa) put up 20.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per contest in a pair of wins last week.
On Wednesday, the senior went for 21 points and 15 boards, picking up eight offensive rebounds.
In Saturday's home win, Schany contributed her eighth double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
