Raiders Showcase Scoring Prowess in Home Win

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern men's basketball team took down Midland 105-78 on Saturday at the Bultman Center.

In the first half, the Red Raiders took a commanding lead, ending the half with a score of 56-31. Jesse Van Kalsbeek was instrumental, opening the scoring with a layup and contributing consistently throughout the half. The Raiders demonstrated accuracy from beyond the arc, hitting threes, with Jalen Langsy and Kaleb Booth each making significant contributions. Despite the Warriors' efforts,, they struggled to keep pace with the Raiders' efficient offense, which was highlighted by 14 assists and a 65.5% shooting rate.

In the second half, the Raiders maintained a strong lead over the Warriors. Booth and Jesse Van Kalsbeek were instrumental, with Booth hitting multiple threes and Van Kalsbeek making key assists and defensive rebounds. The Raiders' bench contributed significantly with 19 points, adding depth to their scoring with consistent fast-break points and a solid defensive performance.

  • Jalen Langsy was an efficient 9-for-10 from the field, including a 7-for-7 mark from beyond the arc.
