Raiders Mark Four Individual Wins Against Briar Cliff

Francksen-Small earns tech fall; Lind, Parmelee victors

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – A trio of open weights pushed (RV) Briar Cliff ahead of (RV) Northwestern in the Bultman Center, despite solid performances from the final third of the Raider lineup.

Briar Cliff opened up the night with a 10-4 decision for No. 14-ranked Seth I'nama at 125 before No. 20 CaRon Watson pushed the lead to 7-0 with a win at 133.

Northwestern got its first points on the board in a return to duals for Noah Parmelee, who used a takedown in the third period to earn a 6-3 decision.

The Chargers stretched their team point total over the next four weight classes with a fall and three open slots for Northwestern until Jake Francksen-Small battled for his first technical fall of the season, winning 16-1 in the second.

Kaleb Lind kept up the pace at 197 with a major decision, winning 14-6 in what would be the final bout wrestled in its entirety, as Jaxson Hildebrand tallied his 15^th win of the year on a medical forfeit.
