Northwestern Runs Into No. 6-Ranked Doane

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – It was the first day of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Duals, as the No. 6-ranked Doane Tigers took down the (RV) Northwestern Red Raiders 50-0. Tuesday's dual was held at the Long Lines Family Rec Center in Sioux City.

"Rough night for the Raiders. Didn't get it done and didn't look good trying to get it done," said head coach Rik Dahl. "We have some young, talented men who need to figure some things out. Thankfully we have a break to heal and recuperate before we finish our semester off in Michigan."

In Doane's commanding win, they totaled four pins, three technical falls, and two major decisions.

The second slate of GPAC Duals will be on January 27, where the Raiders will match up with Concordia (Neb.), Hastings, and Midland.

Up Next: Northwestern will take part in the Blithe Memorial Duals, hosted by Cornerstone University (Mich.), on December 1-2.
