Know Before You Go - NWC Football information

Below is information to know before Northwestern's Battle for Sioux County game against the Dordt Defenders on Saturday, October 21: 

PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY FOR SEATING INSIDE DE VALOIS STADIUM! (Gates open to the public at 11:30 a.m.)
 
GAME DAY ACTIVITIES
  • Saturday's game will be a RED OUT against the Defenders.  
  • Pizza Ranch Fan of the Game. The fan will be chosen at the end of the third quarter.
 
HALFTIME NOTABLES
  • The 2023-24 Red Raider Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) will be recognized.
  • The NWC dorms will compete in a punt/pass/kick challenge during the break.
  • The Red Raider dance team will also perform at halftime.
 
ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
  • This week's alumni spotlight will be TJ Speer.
  • Speer played on the Red Raider offensive line from 2003-06.
  • He's a native of Sioux Center, Iowa and graduated from Sioux Center High School.
 
FAN INFORMATION
  • NEW for the 2023 season – to ensure a safe and positive competitive environment – fans are NOT PERMITTED to stand on field level at De Valois Stadium (that includes the turf and track surface).
  • There will no longer be seating options in the SOUTH ENDZONE (scoreboard side)
  • All tickets are general admission and sold at the gate
    • Adults ($8)
    • K-College ($3)
  • NWC students, faculty, and staff receive free admission with their NWC ID
 
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
  • Also new for the 2023 season will be the implementation of media credentials.
  • Media credentials MUST be presented to be granted – and worn at all times – to be granted field-level access.
  • Credentials can be obtained by emailing Director of Athletic Communications Steve Carlson (steven.carlson@nwciowa.edu)
  • Credentials will be required to be obtained each week of a home game by emailing Steve Carlson [DEADLINE IS END-OF-DAY THURSDAY OF HOME GAME WEEK].
