Raiders to Wrestle Duals at Briar Cliff and Jamestown

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – (RV) Northwestern (2-3, 1-1 GPAC) has three duals on the schedule for the week ahead, traveling on the road to face two Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) opponents in Briar Cliff and Jamestown, and wrestling a neutral-site contest with Dickinson State (N.D.).

LAST TIME OUT:
  • Northwestern is competing in their first duals this week since November 22, when they fell to Doane at the GPAC Duals in Sioux City. Last time on the mat, the Raiders wrestled at the Hastings Open, where Luke Jenness (Sr., Primghar, Iowa) took the 184 championship. Noah Parmelee (Fr., Sergeant Bluff, Iowa) went 3-2 on the day while Sean Heeney (Jr., Sioux City, Iowa) and Jake Francksen-Small (So., Merrill, Iowa) each picked up two wins.
THE LINEUP: NORTHWESTERN NOTES:
  • Jenness is the team leader in wins, compiling a record of 14-3 so far this year.
  • The senior is ranked No. 19 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for his weight class.
  • Kaleb Lind (So., Lindenhurst, Ill.) has won eight bouts by fall to lead the Raiders.
  • Parmelee has the most match points on the team with 102.
  • Breckin Sperling (So., Lincoln, Neb.) has won two matches by technical fall.
  • The Raiders are searching for their first dual win since November 16 (21-19 vs. Dakota Wesleyan).
