SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern College women's tennis team (4-9, 0-3 GPAC) dropped their match at Morningside University (8-6, 3-1 GPAC) 2-5.
The Raiders took two of the three doubles matches to win the doubles point.
Julia Kutz (Fr., Sheridan, Wyo.) and
Julia Anderson (Fr., Rapid City, S.D.) took a close No. 1 doubles match 7-6 (7-4).
Ainslie Robinson (Fr., Luverne, Minn.) and
Wynne Vandersall (Jr., Martelle, Iowa) sealed up the doubles point with a 6-4 No. 2 spot win.

Jamie De Jong noted, "The ladies overcame very windy and cold temperatures today and it was a close matchup."
Kutz continued to play well taking the No. 1 singles spot, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5). Anderson lost a close No. 2 singles match, 5-7, 6-2, 5-10. Robinson lost a hard-fought match in the No. 4 spot. She fell behind after dropping the first set 3-6. Robinson fought back to win the second set 6-3 and played an extremely close third set 6-7 (5-7). Wilson took her first set in a tiebreaker but dropped the last two sets.
