SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern College baseball team (16-23, 8-15 GPAC) drops two games in Sioux City to the Morningside Mustangs (25-14, 11-10 GPAC) to wrap up the road slate of the season.
Jaden Snyder notches his fourth home run of the season, driving in four with a grand slam in Game 2.

How It Happened
The Raiders struck first with a pair of runs in the opening frame. A Mustang error allowed
Mo Watson (So., Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny) to cross the plate, while
Drew Dykstra (Fr., Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale) drove in Watson with a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.
Morningside responded with their first run in the second inning thanks to a sacrifice fly of their own to cut the Raider lead to 2-1.
The Mustangs put up a seven spot in the fourth inning to take a 8-2 lead and added an insurance run in the sixth, making 9-2 heading to the final frame.
Northwestern put up a valiant fight with their final three outs, putting up a five spot, but the comeback fell short as Morningside took Game 1, 9-7.
Braden Kalvelage (Fr., Hastings, Neb./Hastings) drove in a run with an RBI single in the frame, while
Mason Porepp (So., Pleasant Hill, Iowa/Southeast Polk) also drove a run in via a sacrifice fly.

How It Happened
Jaden Snyder (Jr., Larchwood, Iowa/West Lyon) gave the Raiders their first lead of the game with a grand slam in in the fourth inning. It's the second time this week Snyder has driven in 3+ runs, notching his fourth home run of the season.
A big bottom of the fourth proved to be the difference in the game as the Mustangs plated 10 of their 21 runs in the frame.
Northwestern put up a five spot in the sixth, but it wasn't enough as the Mustangs took Game 2, 21-11.
