Raiders Fall in First Set of GPAC Duals

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Luke Jenness picked up his tenth win of the season, but (RV) Northwestern (2-3, 1-1 GPAC) suffered a loss at the hands of No. 6-ranked Doane (4-0, 1-0 GPAC) on Tuesday night.

The dual was the first of four Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Duals, held at the Long Lines Family Recreation Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Doane was in charge from the beginning, defeating Northwestern via technical fall and a pin in the opening three bouts. Jenness (Sr., Primghar, Iowa) picked up the lone victory for the Raiders on Tuesday, winning a 6-3 decision over Doane's Garrett Cornwell.

Northwestern will return to the GPAC Duals again on Saturday, January 28, where they will face Concordia (Neb.), Hastings, and Midland.

Up Next: The first semester comes to a close as the Raiders will next take the mat on January 7 at the Hastings Open.
