ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Averie Price (Coggon, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her competitive dance career at Northwestern College.Â
Price has four years of dance experience at North Linn. She was a state champion in Jazz Class I. Price also posted state runner-up finishes in Pom Class III, Hip-Hop Class II and Pom Class IV. She also received a Class II Solo Division I rating in 2020.
"We are excited to have Averie join us in the fall, she brings great talent and with her bubbly personality she'll be a great fit with the rest of our team," stated head coach
Taylor Nygren.
Price plans to study Elementary Education at Northwestern. She is on the academic honor roll. Price is the daughter of Shellia and Lynn.
"I wanted to go to a Christ centered college where I would be pushed in my faith every single day," stated Price. "I knew God was calling me to a school like Northwestern. When I stepped foot on campus I knew it was where I was meant to be. I felt an overwhelming presence of God and knew He would always be with me on this campus."
