FOREST CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern College men's soccer team (4-1-1, 0-0 GPAC) traveled to Forest City, Iowa to conclude non-conference play, battling the Warriors of Waldorf University (3-2-2, 0-0 NSAA) to a 0-0 tie.
In a match that saw 48 combined shots, neither Northwestern nor Waldorf could find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 tie on the campus of Waldorf University. Though shots were about even between the two squads – the Raiders holding the 26-22 advantage – Northwestern had ten corner kicks to the Warriors one, but still unable to put one away to pick up a win.
Luc Roelofs (So., Nederasselt, Netherlands/Kandinsky College),
James Bolger (Boyle, Republic of Ireland/Abbey Community College), and
Bailey Baccam (Fr., Hull, Iowa/Western Christian) all put two shots on goal for Northwestern, accounting for six of the 11 Raider shots on goal for the night.
Ezekiel Foltz (Jr., Sioux Center/Sioux Center) was busy at the net throughout the match, tallying 11 saves for the Raiders. The first half was the busiest for the junior as he collected seven of his saves in the first 45 minutes of action. His counterpart also tallied 11 saves for Waldorf.
