Campbell To Join Raider Football, Wrestling Teams

Braeden Campbell (Lee's Summit, Mo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and wrestling careers at Northwestern College in the fall.

2021 Campbell football, wrestling recruitCampbell is a 6'0", 205-pound linebacker and wide receiver who played three years for the Summit Christian Academy football team. Campbell accounted for 97 tackles, 4.5 quarterback sacks and three interceptions while earning both all-conference and all-district honors for the second consecutive year. He compiled 32 catches for 453 yards and four touchdowns on offense.

"Braeden is a great addition to our Raider football team," said Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He is an explosive athlete who can play on both sides of the ball."

Also a three-year letter winner in wrestling, Campbell finished his career with an impressive 125-16 overall record and posted a season-best 57-5 record and 31 pins while placing third in the state tournament. He is a two-time all-district and all-conference selection and was a member of the 2017 Missouri National Greco and Freestyle team. "We are blessed to have Braeden join our wrestling program," commented Northwestern Head Coach Rik Dahl. "After a successful high school experience, we feel Braeden is at a place where he really loves the sport and is driven to be the best he can be.
