Willem Faber (
Lynden, Wash.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College in the fall.
Faber is a 6'0", 225-pound linebacker who transfers to Northwestern after attending the University of Washington for one year. Faber enjoyed an outstanding two-year career playing for the Lynden Christian High School football team. He earned all-state honors at linebacker and was a first team all-conference selection at both linebacker and offensive line after the 2019 season. For his career, Faber totaled 216 tackles, 9.5 quarterback sacks and four forced fumbles in leading his team to a state runner-up finish in 2019.
"Will is a strong, physical linebacker who comes from an outstanding high school program," said Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "He is a tremendous playmaker in the middle of a defense and who will thrive in our scheme. We are so excited to have Will join us at Northwestern."
An outstanding student, Faber was a member of the honor roll all four years at Lynden Christian High School. He plans to study Biology / Health Professions / Pre-Medicine at Northwestern and is the son of Mitch and Hannah.
