Logan Dykstra (
Lynden, Wash.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College in the fall.
Dykstra is a 6'5", 210-pound quarterback / athlete who completed a standout three-year career playing for the Lynden Christian High School football team. Dykstra threw for 1,180 yards and 19 touchdowns and compiled 24 tackles to go with 3.5 quarterback sacks and two interceptions on defense last season. He was named the Whatcom County Offensive Player of the Year and received all-conference honors. Dykstra passed for 1,533 yards and 27 touchdowns for his career and also played for the Lynden Christian basketball and baseball teams.
"Logan has outstanding potential as a college football player," said Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "He is a talented, athletic player who has a good understanding of the game. We are excited to have Logan join our Red Raider football program."
Dykstra was a member of the honor roll and plans to study Biology / Health Professions at Northwestern. He is the son of Jeff and Shannon.
"I chose Northwestern because of the outstanding coaches; they were very personable made me feel welcome," stated Dykstra. "The football program has a strong tradition and the campus community felt like home."
