The Event...Following a seven-match, non-conference slate, the Northwestern College women's tennis team begins GPAC play this weekend against two conference foes in Nebraska. On Friday, the Raiders will play at Hastings, held at the Dorothy Becker courts, at 4pm; the next day (Saturday) will feature a match at Doane in Crete, Neb, beginning at 10am.
All-Time... Northwestern is 5-14 all-time in the rivalry against Hastings, dating back to the 2000 season. The Broncos have won four straight in the rivalry, including a 5-4 victory last time the teams played in 2019.Â
Saturday's match will be the 21st in the rivalry against Doane with the Raiders holding a 13-7 edge, dating back to the initial match played in 2000. Northwestern defeated the Tigers 5-4 in the last meeting played in 2019.
