Pierick To Wrestle at Northwestern

| By:
Jacob Pierick (Maxwell, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern College.

Pierick recently completed a four-year career competing for the Collins-Maxwell High School wrestling team. Pierick finished with a 95-55 career record and won three district qualifiers. He went 34-11 as a senior and plans to study Political Science at Northwestern. Pierick is the son of Jennifer and Robert.

"We are excited for what Jacob brings to the wrestling mat," said Northwestern Head Coach Rik Dahl. "He competed in a tough part of the state and his gritty style will add depth at our lower weights. Jacob is a young man who really wants to excel on the mat and in the classroom; that is the type of young man we like to work with and to be part of our program."

"I chose to attend Northwestern because everyone made me feel welcome," commented Pierick. "Coach Dahl and the wrestling team were great to be around and I am excited to be part of the Raider wrestling program."
