Abby Ervin (Jewell, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her running career at Northwestern College in the fall.

Ervin has earned a combined 13 letters competing in four sports (cross country, track, basketball and softball) for South Hamilton High School. A four-year participant in cross country, Ervin is the school's record holder in the 5K (21:45) and was named team captain last fall. She has a personal best time of 1:05 in the 400m and will compete for the South Hamilton track team this spring. Ervin plans to study Exercise Science / Health at Northwestern and is the daughter of Scott and Paula.

"We are excited to have Abby joining our women's cross country and track and field teams at Northwestern College," commented Bahrke. "She loves to run and compete and will make a wonderful addition to our program and campus."
 
"I chose Northwestern because of the faith emphasis, the beautiful campus and community atmosphere," said Ervin. "I am excited to grow academically, athletically and spiritually at Northwestern."
