The Northwestern College women's tennis team lost to Buena Vista 6-3 in its first match of the spring season played today in Sioux City, Iowa. The Raiders move to 0-2 on the year.
Wynne Vandersall and
Jessica Wilson earned wins at No.1 and No.2 singles and then combined for a 6-2 win at the top doubles spot. Vandersall, competing for the first time in a Raider uniform, lost just one game in her 6-1, 6-0 win over Rachel Brockney. Wilson moved to 1-3 in singles play with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Alexis McGinnis at No.2 singles.
Northwestern will compete against Morningside in a non-conference match on Feb. 19 in Sioux City.
