Siebert To Play Football, Wrestle For Northwestern

Lincoln Siebert (Burns, Wyo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and wrestling careers at Northwestern College in the fall.

2021-22 Seibert recruitSiebert is a 6'1", 300-pound lineman who has competed three years in both football and wrestling for Burns High School. Burns was named first team all-state after the 2020 football season and received all-conference honors the last two seasons.

"Lincoln is a strong, physical lineman who plays with great power and leverage," commented Northwestern head football coach Matt McCarty. "He will be a nice addition along our defensive line."

Siebert has a 71-52 career record on the mat and went 22-3 last season, earning first team all-conference honors. Siebert received the Citizenship Award and is a member of the honor roll. He plans to study secondary education at Northwestern and is the son of Jason and Anne.

"We are excited to add Lincoln to our Northwestern wrestling team," said head coach Rik Dahl. "He is a good athlete and will be a welcomed addition to our line-up at heavyweight." 

"When I visited Northwestern, the staff, coaches and professors that I met were very personable and welcoming," stated Siebert. "I enjoyed the small-town feel of campus and the community; I feel like Northwestern is a place where I can grow in my faith, my athletic career and in my spiritual life."
