ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Charlee Olson (Charleston, S.C.) has signed her letter of intent to continue both her volleyball and track and field careers at Northwestern College.
Olson has participated in volleyball for five years and track and field for six years at Palmetto Christian Academy. While in high school Olson was chosen to compete in the North/South All-Star Game for volleyball and was selected all-region in 2020 and 2021. Her track career has seen a lot of success including four gold medals and the South Carolina Runner of the Year award for the state and regional track meets in 2021.
"Charlee is a good athlete that is a great jumper and has a quick arm," stated Head Coach
Kyle Van Den Bosch. "She will improve her skill set in our program with being around the quality of players in our program. We are excited to welcome Charlee into our volleyball program and our campus community."
Olson plans to study Communications and Personal Relations at Northwestern College. She is currently a chaplain of the National Honors Society. She is the daughter of Cameron and Heather.
"I chose Northwestern because I feel it is the best way for me to continue my academic and athletic career while still resuming the strong Christian education I've been blessed to have in high school," stated Olson. "I love the people at Northwestern and the change of scenery from Charleston and I'm so excited to call this place home for the next four years."
