ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Jakeb Swallow (Macon, Mo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College.
Swallow is a four-year varsity baseball player from Macon County R-1. He has earned All-Conference and All-District awards during his four-letter winning years. Swallow's most recent season saw him post an impressive earned run average of 0.618 in 34 innings pitched. He struck out 52 batters and hit for a 0.313 average.
"Jakeb is a really nice sign for us," stated Head Coach
Brian Wede. "He is a talented left-handed pitcher who can keep hitter off balance in a number of different ways. We are excited to add him to our roster and work with him as he develops."
Swallow plans to study Business Administration at Northwestern College. He is the son of Jeremy and Cheryl.
"I chose Northwestern College for it's quality of education, as well as their amazing campus," noted Swallow. "Also, they have an amazing baseball program, with amazing people in the program."
