ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Al Brazones (Sioux Falls, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College.
Brazones is a goalkeeper for Sioux Falls Christian, where he only allowed seven goals during their State Championship winning season. Along with a State Championship Brazones was All-State Honorable mention. He played for the Tempo Thunderbolts club team and they finished as regionals runner up.
"We've had our eye on Al for a long time," stated Northwestern head coach
Dan Swier. "He has tremendous background as a player, winning state titles both at the club and high school levels. We know he will fit in well with our team and contribute in a positive way in the Northwestern community."
Brazones plans to study Law or Education at Northwestern and is involved in student council. He is the son of Steven and Tanya Brazones.
"I think that Northwestern College has a great community," said Brazones. "I remember going there for camp sophomore year and everyone was very genuine and welcoming. It's a great place to not only play soccer but to grow in my faith as well."
