Why did you choose to come to northwestern?
I came to Northwestern because of how welcome I felt by each person I met on my visits. I felt a peace and assurance that this was the place to be. Being able to continue running track was also a huge win for me in choosing NWC.
Do you have any advice for underclassman or incoming recruits?
My advice for underclassman and recruits is to hold on to the excitement and joy you have in your sport as a freshman. Sometimes as you experience more life, harder classes, or prepare for the future, it is easy to lose sight of why you enjoy your sport. Keep a journal of your joys in the sport your freshman year and reflect on it when it is hard to feel that way later on in your career.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I plan on taking a gap year where I will be substitute teaching. After that, I plan to attend grad school for a Master's in School Counseling.
