Quinlin To Play Football, Baseball at Northwestern

Andrew Quinlin (Oregon, Mo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and baseball careers at Northwestern College next fall.

2021 football recruit Quinlin actionQuinlin is a 6'0", 205-pound quarterback / linebacker who played four years for South Holt High School. Quinlin accounted for over 1,500 yards and 36 touchdowns in leading his team to the playoffs and a 9-3 record last fall. For his career, Quinlin threw for 5,292 yards and 86 touchdowns and rushed for an additional 57 scores and over 2,000 yards. He was named all-state two years at quarterback and received all-state accolades as both a linebacker and kicker one season.

"Drew is a great athlete and competitor," commented Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. "He excelled in multiple sports and playing several different positions in high school. Drew is a proven leader and we are excited to see the impact he will have on our campus and within our program."

Quinlin received all-conference honors multiple years and is a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to study Exercise Science at Northwestern and is the son of Ted and Landi.

"Drew is a good signing for us," said Northwestern Head Baseball Coach Brian Wede. "He is a physical athlete that can do a lot of great things from the left side of the plate. We are really excited to watch him develop and improve as he surrounds himself with our guys and gets into the Northwestern baseball culture."
