The Event...The Northwestern College wrestling team will compete in two duals this weekend, both taking place at Doane University in Crete, Neb. The Raiders will face ninth-ranked Doane at 1pm on Saturday, Jan. 23, and will then compete against (RV) York at 2:30 in non-conference action.

    Northwestern has won three straight duals and is 1-2 in the GPAC, 4-2 overall; Doane is unbeaten in the GPAC (2-0) and is 9-2 overall. York is 6-2 in duals this season.

The Rivalry...Northwestern has had the upper hand in the rivalry against both Doane and York. Head Coach Rik Dahl's squad has won three straight and is 4-2 in duals against Doane since the 2014 season. Last year, Northwestern defeated the Tigers  28-18, led by Luke Jenness (win by fall), Andrew Null (win by fall) and Blake Pomajzl (major decision). 

Northwestern is a perfect 4-0 against York, dating back to the 2007-08 season, and last competed against the Panthers in 2017-18 where the Raiders picked up a 42-12 win.
