The Red Raider men's soccer program will see five more players join them this fall. These five now make the 2020 class at 19 total players for head coach

Alec Wojak | Midfielder | Robert G. Cole High School
Native of San Antonio, Texas
Alec will arrive at Northwestern after a strong senior season for his high school, where he led his team to a 7-4-4 record. He was an integral part of Coach Fernando Caldera's attack where he scored 12 goals and assisted 9 others from central midfield. Alec plans on studying Criminal Justice while at Northwestern. Coach Swier on Wojak: "Alec helps us as we continue to work on bringing in more attacking prowess for the fall of 2020. He is an engine in the midfield and has solid statistics to show for it. We are looking forward to his involvement in our program in the years ahead."
Niklas Fitter | Forward | Rhein Sieg Gymnasium
Native of Sankt Augustin, Germany
Niklas will come to Northwestern after completing his club career with FC BW Friesdorf under head coach Ralf Winiarz. Playing mostly as an attacking midfielder this season, he has 8 goals and 8 assists through 14 games. In 2018-19 Niklas played as a striker for SF Troisdorf in the youth regional league, helping lead them to a 13-2-4 record. They finished third in the league and Niklas scored 21 goals and assisted 10 others. His most successful cup experience was winning the regional cup with Bonner SC as a U16 player in 2017. Niklas will enter Northwestern undecided on a major. Swier on Fitter: "Niklas has a very strong background as a youth soccer player. He is hungry around the box and a proven finisher. We need to score more goals in 2020 and we have brought in Niklas to help us do just that."
Zachary Carr | Goalkeeper | Prairie View High School
Native of Brighton, Colorado
Zach comes to Northwestern after completing his career at Prairie View where he was a captain and an all-conference player both as a junior and a senior. He averaged 150+ saves each year that he lettered in high school. His club team, Colorado Rapids North, is 5-1 during the current season. Zach is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to study Criminal Justice at Northwestern. Swier on Carr: "Zach comes to us highly recommended by his good friend and teammate, Jonas Tiensvold, who has already committed to attend Northwestern this fall. He has a lot of experience as a goalkeeper and will fill a need for us as we are graduating two senior goalkeepers this spring. We are looking forward to the contributions he will make to our team and campus in the years to come."
Brett Segar | Defender | Hawkeye Community College
Native of Hull, Iowa
Brett will transfer to Northwestern after completing one year at Hawkeye Community College. His most natural position is left back, a position he played for Coach Dan Van Ruler at Sioux Center High School. During his senior season in 2019 Brett helped Sioux Center to a 15-5 record and a third place finish in the state. Brett was a 2-year captain at Sioux Center and was recognized as an all-conference honoree in 2019. At Hawkeye he earned 1
st Team Academic All-Region honors. Brett plans to study Business Administration during his time at Northwestern. Swier on Segar: "Brett is a familiar face for us. We recruited him in high school and are happy to welcome him to Northwestern after his stint at a community college. Brett knows how to compete at a high level and we are excited to see him bring that to our program."
Alan Roman | Goalkeeper | Indian Hills Community College
Native of Asuncion, Paraguay
Alan will transfer to Northwestern after completing two years at Indian Hills Community College. In 2019 Alan had six starts in goal for an Indian Hills team that went 13-3-2. He earned four shut-outs and a 0.844 save percentage. Alan plans to finish his degree in Business Management during his time at Northwestern. Swier on Roman: "Alan is a great fit for Northwestern. He helps us fill a need at the goalkeeper position, he played at a high level at Indian Hills, and he loves the mission of Northwestern to integrate faith and learning in a unique way. We are enthused that he has selected to join our program in the fall, and look forward to his contributions."
